About Kent Waugh - ReFraming Life
Kent Waugh's ReFraming Life explores one man's personal journey through love, loss, and life, and how he learned meaningful lessons from the best and worst life has to offer, becoming a better version of himself over and over again.

"I was fortunate from a very young age to have very caring, loving parents and a great life!"

While I was born on the East Coast, in New Brunswick, I experienced my earliest memories living on the northern tip of Vancouver Island on Canada’s West Coast. It was a secluded military radar base, part of NORAD, called Holberg. My father was a member of the Canadian Air Force. When I was six years old, we moved from this pure wilderness to Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Some of my fondest childhood memories were at our oceanside summer cottage on Prince Edward Island, where both my parents were born and raised. It’s even more picturesque in real life than in photos. Then, at the age of 10, we moved to Chilliwack, BC, where I lived during my remaining growing years.
In just over 60 years of living, I have been lucky to have three significant relationships that have lasted a total of 30 years. This includes two marriages. The first gave me two incredible sons, and the second two wonderful stepdaughters.
The periods of grief and emptiness I have experienced pale in comparison to the immense joy I've experienced.

Again, I want to repeat that these particular times of silence and sorrow are nothing compared to the overwhelming joy I have known throughout my life. I have been, and still am, blessed in every part of my life.
It is through these sorrows that I have been able to learn how we can reframe almost any aspect of life to become better, stronger versions of ourselves. I am sharing my most personal stories with the hope of helping others go beyond merely surviving life to thriving in life.
